Starting Sunday, May 4, brunch at Red Horse by David Burke White Plains is getting a delicious twist. Say hello to American Dim Sum—a ten-course, choose-your-own-adventure-style brunch where carts roll through the dining room and church baskets swing by with snack-sized bites that are anything but ordinary.

For $55, guests can mix and match from a lineup of playful dishes like General Tso’s Crispy Fried Chicken, shrimp fried rice, Oatmeal Crème Brûlée (served in an eggshell!), smoked salmon, short rib or sliced steak, and a wild mushroom truffle waffle.

Hot items are delivered straight from the kitchen, while baked goods like popovers, muffins, donuts, and cornbread are served tableside in long-handled baskets—just like grandma used to bring to Sunday potlucks.

Prefer your brunch more classic? No problem. There’s also a limited à la carte menu featuring familiar favorites like omelets and eggs Benedict.

This isn’t Chef Burke’s first dim sum rodeo, either. "I did it in Chicago back in the ‘90s—30 dishes for $35,” Burke says. “It was fun, interactive, and a huge hit. We sold out every week".
Of course, brunch wouldn’t be brunch without a little bubbly. You can sip on carafes of mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Bloody Marias you enjoy your bites.
Dim sum—originally a Cantonese word meaning “appetizer” (or dianxin in Mandarin)—dates back 2,500 years to tea houses along the Silk Road. Burke’s spin brings that age-old grazing style to the American table—with a wink and a wild mushroom waffle.

The new brunch is the latest addition to Red Horse’s ever-evolving lineup of events, which also includes:
Happy Hour daily from 3–7 p.m.
Monthly wine dinners
Comedy nights with dinner
Monday Burger Nights
Half-Priced Sushi Thursdays
Beat Burke Dinners (where Burke faces off with another chef and guests judge the winner)
And Keith & Margo’s Murder Mystery Dinners
Red Horse’s American Dim Sum brunch launches Sunday, May 4, and will be served every Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. To reserve your spot, visit www.redhorsebydb.com/restaurant/white-plains or call 914-467-5713.

About Red Horse by David Burke:
A modern American steakhouse brand created by David Burke with the 2020 debut of the first location in Rumson, NJ, there are currently three locations (the other is in Bernardsville, NJ at the historic Bernard Inn). While steaks, dry-aged by Burke’s patented Himalayan pink salt process are always an attraction, the menus of each location reflect a sense of place. Likewise, while equine art, some from Burke’s extensive and eclectic art collection, along with red and white stirrup patterned wallpaper, are decor staples, the overall look differs at each restaurant.
