Slow Food Hudson Valley Celebrates Kathleen Finlay at Wild Hudson Valley Benefit
On Sunday, Liberty Farms in Ghent hosted Wild Hudson Valley, a spring benefit for Slow Food Hudson Valley. The barn was filled with chefs, farmers, and community leaders who care deeply about the future of food in our region.
Slow Food, for anyone new to the movement, is a global organization working to protect biodiversity, preserve food traditions, and build a food system that is good, clean, and fair.


How technology is helping close food insecurity in the Hudson Valley
The idea was sparked during one of the Foundation’s regular convenings, where a nonprofit partner shared a simple but powerful vision. “She just said, ‘Wouldn’t it be so cool if, when I’m out at a farm and they tell me they’ve got 20 pallets of zucchini, I could just go on an app and say I’ve got 20 pallets of zucchini — who needs it? Who can process it? Who can distribute it tomorrow?’”
